I've always been fascinated by African Painted Dogs as they have similar playful traits to our beloved pets, however, they are very much wild animals. They almost never fight amongst themselves over food due to their hierarchy ranking system. When a dog becomes ill, injured or elderly, the rest of the pack cares for and feeds them. Their colouring and huge ears set them apart, and I wanted to focus on those features with this piece
